Master Uzoma Onwuchekwa was born in London, England.
He started Martial Arts under the tutelage of Grandmaster Emmanuel Ikpeme. Becoming Blackbelt qualified in 1982.
As part of his contribution to Taekwondo in Nigeria, he was Chairman of the NTBBC Education Committee and was the creator of the Eko Taekwondo Championships. Heisalsotheco-creator of the Scorpion Close Quarter Combat System
Master Uzoma Onwuchekwa, is a 5th Dan Black belt in Taekwondo (NTBBC), 4th Dan Kukkiwon, 7th Dan Jidokwan and holds an orange belt in ShanShui, alongside working knowledge of Aikido. A practicing martial artist for over 42 years. In 2011 he was inducted into the World Taekwondo Hall of Fame, for exemplary qualities in leadership, in Kukkiwon Seoul, South Korea. Uzoma, is Vice Chairman Lagos State Taekwondo Association, Part owner and instructor at Lekki Taekwondo & Kickboxing Academy and current National President of The Nigerian Taekwondo Black Belt College.
