Master Blessing Nwakanma, was born in Lagos, Nigeria.
An avid sportswoman (Basketball, Football, Athletics), she started her Martial Arts career in the University of Ife under the tutelage of Master Jimmy Ogunowo: Current Chairman of Lagos State Taekwondo Association.. Apart from representing Lagos State and Nigeria, she has been teaching Taekwondo since 2012. She is also the co-creator of the Scorpion Close Quarter Combat System.

Master Blessing Nwakanma, is a licensed 5th Dan black belt holder in the Korean martial art of Taekwondo. She has over 12 years of experience in martial arts and personal fitness training. She is a National and West African Champion, a Commonwealth Silver and Bronze medallist, and an Atlanta Opens Gold Medallist.
